Job Description:

​Provide World Wide Web application and database redevelopment and design. Provide database software support to include SQL and Microsoft Access® for the maintenance of new and existing database applications. Modify current and future database applications, updating technical and user documentation and providing training to users and client support administrator on the modifications.

Provide software development and database development in support of the National Security Space Institute (NSSI). Current applications for student registration, course scheduling, and general course administration exist. Development efforts will involve maintaining and growing existing applications as well as developing new applications in coordination with the NSSI course support team and instructors.

Deliver the database software applications, software documentation, training plans, training aids, presentations, designs, records, databases, manuals, guides, standard operating procedures, and similar items developed in rendering database software application services


Experience and Skills:


Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Strong analytical skills with ability to learn new information quickly

Strong willingness to continuously learn and stay familiar with latest software development techniques and technology

Strong ability to perform independently and as part of a cross-functional team using open communication to deliver a team solution quickly.

Ability to collaborate with users and deliver innovative approaches to operational challenges

Comfortable learning and supporting the design/development of blended, mobile, and interactive learning solutions using a variety of e-learning development software


3 years programming experience to include experience wit HTMLS, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, and/or JQuery

3 years Experience in software development using Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, etc.)

3 years of website and distance learning system development experience with Visual C#, Visual Basic, ASP (Active Server Pages), JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL)


Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred, but 6 years of database/Microsoft Dot Net experience may be substituted for degree
